How to get here:

seasq4The River Center is located in Sequim, WA, on the Olympic Peninsula, the northwestern most corner of the contiguous 48 United States. The northern Olympic Peninsula borders the Strait of Juan de Fuca, part of an inland sea that connects inner Puget Sound to the Pacific Ocean.

The River Center is about 2 miles west of the city of Sequim. About 12 miles farther west is Port Angeles, the Clallam County seat as well as the headquarters and primary visitor access to Olympic National Park.

The Dungeness River Audubon Center is located at Railroad Bridge Park, 2151 West Hendrickson Road, Sequim. The historic railroad bridge serves as a pedestrian and cycling trail, a former river crossing of the now-defunct railroad between Port Townsend and Port Angeles. Located about 5 1/2 miles upstream of the river's mouth at Dungeness, it is a good example of the still-natural setting of the lower river corridor.

The River Center is accessible on the east side of the river by vehicle from Hendrickson Road. On the west side there is a parking area and a paved, level trail for pedestrians and cyclists across the Railroad Bridge to the River Center. There is a horse trail from Runnion Road to the river.
