Spring Fling

Spring Fling is a month-long opportunity to have fun and get fit while raising funds for a worthy cause: the Dungeness River Audubon Center and Railroad Bridge Park.

When is it?
May is Dungeness Spring Fling month. It runs the entire month to coincide with several nationwide efforts that, like Spring Fling, promote fitness, wellness, and literacy:
• National Bike Month
• National Physical Fitness and Health Month
• National Family Wellness Month
• National Get Caught Reading Month

How do I participate?
• It’s easy. You can do Spring Fling on your own or on a team.
• Choose an activity you enjoy, e.g., walking, biking, gardening, birding, or dancing. Then, anytime you do your chosen activity or activities during the month of May (and anywhere you do it) counts for Spring Fling.
• Complete a registration form, gather pledges, and count your units (number of miles, hours, or species).

You’ll find all the information you'll need to participate, including calendar, registration and results forms, instructions, and sample letters at www.DungenessRiverCenter.org. Or, you can pick them up at the River Center, 2151 W. Hendrickson Road, Sequim, WA.

Awards and Prizes
Awards go to those who raise the most money, so review our pledge hints to maximize your pledges. We also recognize the participants who tally the most miles, hours, or species during Spring Fling. Awards will be presented at the Spring Fling Frolic, 3:00-5:00 pm on Saturday, June 5, 2010, at the River Center in Railroad Bridge Park.
