River Center Endowment

The Dungeness River Audubon Center Endowment was established to provide a perpetual source of income that helps sustain ongoing operations of the Center and Railroad Bridge Park. With your help, we can ensure that generations of children and adults will have a chance to learn the importance of protecting and enjoying our natural places.

Our Vision: The Dungeness River Audubon Center’s environmental education and stewardship programs shall be handed from generation to generation for the good of the community.

Our Goal: To raise an Endowment Fund of $5 Million that will help ensure the sustainability of the Dungeness River Audubon Center and Railroad Bridge Park.

Our Promise: To use the Endowment Fund responsibly to maintain the high quality of the River Center’s programs, staff, and facilities.

Give to the Endowment
Charitable gifts benefit both the donor and the River Center. We can help you make the most of your tax benefits from monetary and other gifting options:
o Include the endowment in your will or trust;
o Designate the River Center as a beneficiary and/or to receive distributions from an IRA
o Create a planned gift, such as a Charitable Trust
o Donate assets, such as stocks and bonds, property, homes, and vehicles
o Memorial gifts

We need healthy environments now and in the future. Won’t you join us?

To discuss gifting opportunities, please contact the Center’s Director at (360) 681-4076.

What Endowment donors are saying:

“We like knowing that our gifts to the River Center Endowment are helping to build a solid foundation that will help sustain the Center’s invaluable programs both now and in the future.” Dave and Julie Jackson

“For many years my late wife Roberta was involved with this educational center, which greatly benefits children in our community. It warms my heart to know that our contributions to the River Center Endowment keep her dreams for the Center alive.” Les Jones

“When Mark and I started the Sequim Natural History Museum, our wish was for it to grow into a lasting legacy for the community. Mark would be so happy to know that each year thousands of people of all ages come to the River Center and Park to experience what he loved – and what I continue to cherish – a connection to nature and natural history.” Annette Hanson and Mark Hanson (In Memoriam)
